When wanting to argue, I have to be in the know on what's going on. Here are some of the sources I like to refer to:
MemriTv.org [great authentic material when you want to know what the middle eastern media REALLY thinks of us and the rest of the world]
bbcarabic.com [bbc.com in general]
al-jezeera.com [and the tv station]
alsharqalawsat.com
al-iraqia [tv news station]
al-arabia, arabiceuronews.com
dubai [tv]
Ashtar [iraqi tv station]
cnn.com [completely useless right now as it only knows about Michael Jackson's death and that apparently is more important that say...the economy or North Korea or Iran or Iraq or EVEN Obama]
foxnews.com [more michael jackson right now, but less of him, thank heavens]
msnbc.com
abcnews.com [which btw is one of the more retarded news sites I've been to and even before Michael Jackson's death was practically useless]
the whitehouse's website
radiosawa.com [more arabic news in arabic only I think]
and more [such as the actual opinions of some arabs themselves in person and online [such as these blogs [link] or [link] ]]

Somehow I managed to remain largely conservative and libertarian [there is a different please understand] despite the sheer amount of bias I've seen. ><;;

And the best thing about going to so many sources for information? You can pick out discrepencies much easier. I mean, for simple purposes: cnn doesn't have many reports on the threats by North Korea, but FoxNews has too many; Al-Jezeera reports a lot about Gaza and stuff, but Memritv shows whats actually being SAID about Gaza and Israel. Good stuff.

Who would've predicted my hot-headedness would have gotten INFORMED? Crazy.

Moving on:

I did great on my test! I brought up my Bs from my last test to As and B+s, and my worse subject [listening] I brought up from a C- to one point away from a A-! Almost TWO letter grades! Now...I almost feel like I might actually pass this stupid course! -weeps- Unfortunately, I went down from B in speaking to a C+. Who cares about speaking anyway? I certainly don't need it for my job, ahamdulilah, AND if I do well in my other subjects, I can get away without it. Not that I won't try to improve it.

A few of my friends are actually getting out of here. Passed the course and ALL. I'm jealous, I won't lie. Sadly, my husband is going too, early next month. Makes me very sad and I am only grateful that I get to spend time with him during the Fourth of July. If I can help it, I will go camping that weekend, and will go to San Fransisco to see the fireworks on the bay. I really hope to do that.

I am also grateful for finally buying a bed after a month and a half of no bed [my poor back!].

I still am missing money from my paycheck and though I've hounded admin about that, I won't be recieving the proper amount [plus past missing pay] until the 15th, which is just about killing me because rent is coming up, and I DON'T have the money. WTF. And it turns out that ONCE AGAIN, this is due to someone not doing their job right. Mother hubbard. ><;

But otherwise, class is going well. I think I'm getting better in speaking [I'm in speaking class now and actually enjoying it for once. hehe]

The coast was lit brightly by the celestial stars and the waning moons, the ocean breathing rhythmically with surges of sea foam across the shore.

It was good to be home.
